MIRUS HARMONICS VIDEO

The MIRUS International Harmonic Solutions animated video investigates the cause of the equipment malfunctions and overheated motors, all tied to the variable speed drive. Mirus' harmonic solutions reduce distortions from the variable speed drive, which means that you will get the best performance possible, while reducing energy usage and operating costs.

WEBINAR RECORDING & PRESENTATION

We recently hosted a webinar where our Director of Sales, Al Archambault covered some of the recent changes made to IEEE Std. 519 regulation. The webinar focused on the guideline differences associated with low voltage systems. Al used the installation of low voltage Adjustable Speed Drives (ASDs) to demonstrate to owners, operators and consulting engineers how the differences between the 1992 guideline vs the 2014 version can affect their designs when specifying and installing low voltage ASDs.

SPEAKING EVENT: PCIC TRADESHOW

PCIC - IEEE IAS Petroleum and Chemical Industry Committee
Where: Houston, Texas
When: October 5th to 7th

At the conference, Tony Hoevenaars and co-authors, Mike McGraw and Jordan Alexander, will be presenting their paper "Rightsizing Generators Through Harmonic Mitigation Realizes Energy, Emissions and Infrastructure Reductions." Attendees will learn how to reduce energy, emission and infrastructure costs, by proper use of harmonic mitigation solutions and rightsizing generators. We will also be hosting a networking event for attendees on the 6th and 7th, to answer any questions about the paper or harmonics in general.

PQSYNERGY TRADESHOW

From May 20th to 22nd, MIRUS attended and sponsored PQSynergy™ held in Thailand this year. MIRUS presented a paper titled ‘How Harmonics Have Contributed to Many Power Factor Misconceptions’ during the conference, and hosted a workshop around its white papers ‘Understanding Power System Harmonics’ and ‘Passive Harmonic Solution for VFDs - Introducing Lineator AUHF.

PQSynergy is an international forum to share experiences, requirements, questions, information, customer requirements, problems and solutions in the fast growth area of power quality, energy conservation and SmartGrid.
